Sing-Alongs for Babies and Toddlers

Diane is an experienced leader of sing-alongs for little ones, delighting them with fun songs, finger-plays, and the chance to hop to the music. She brings her guitar, her wonderful way with a song, and her friend Lucinda "Twinkletoes" MacGillicuddy," a dancing doll who never fails to fascinate everyone in attendance.

The show lasts 30 minutes and is suitable for children from newborn to about age four. It includes such age-old favorites as:

If You're Happy and You Know It
The Wheels on the Bus
Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes
Where Is Thumbkin?
The Eensy Weensy Spider
Pop Goes the Weasel
Do you Know the Muffin Man?
Did You Ever See a Lassie?
Old McDonald
Working on the Railroad
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Diane always does "I'm a Little Teapot," and also her upated version, "I'm a Little Microwave":

I'm a little microwave, square and bright;
Here is my handle, here is my light.
When you push my buttons and shut me tight,
I go BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! with all my might!

She also sings her own composition, "The Bee Song," a call-and-response masterpiece that has everything a toddler could hope for in a song -- joy, tears, drama, pathos, and the triumphant application of a band-aid.

For a dozen years Diane led weekly or monthly sing-alongs at libraries in Arlington and Reading, and in neighboring towns. For six years she ran her own sing-along, renting space at the Calvary Church in Arlington, drawing 60 or more children and their caregivers to each show. Although she no longer runs her own event, Diane is available to conduct sing-alongs at libraries or other venues.

Diane's fee starts at $100. To discuss booking, please call 781-648-3719 or e-mail her at diane@dianetaraz.com.
